Aunty Pat se: ALL SOUTH AFRICANS ARE SALESMEN AND WOMEN FOR DESTINATION SA
It’s that time of the year when just about everyone is contemplating putting their feet up, for at least a day or two – besides those who are fortunate enough to work in the tourism industry.
Their jobs are much bigger than serving tables, guiding tour groups or tidying hotel rooms. Through their friendliness and competence, they are at the frontline of selling destination South Africa to the world.
They earn wages for themselves and their families, and also for our country – for our economy in critical need of a break.
For those who work in the hospitality sector, we thank you!
We acknowledge your sacrifice over the holiday season, spending time away from your friends and loved ones.
But it is not just workers in the tourist sector who contribute to creating an environment that travellers want to visit; every single one of us has a role to play in making visitors feel so welcome that when they return home they encourage their friends and family to visit next year….
