The GOOD Party is pleased to welcome Mr Given Masase who has been elected as the new councillor to fill the vacancy in the George Municipality.
He joins the George team after Mr Donovan Saptoe was appointed by GOOD to serve in the Garden Route District Municipality, as part of the party’s commitment to provide clean and ethical leadership in all its positions.
As GOOD, we are confident that Saptoe’s wealth of experience and commitment to quality service delivery will continue to serve the best interests of the community in the Garden Route District Municipality. He has been an integral part of the GOOD team in George where Masase will now join.
Masase joined GOOD in 2018 and has since then already played a key role in supporting and building the party in George. He served as the Municipal Campaign Team Secretary in George, leading up towards local elections in 2021, fulfilled the role of Branch Chairperson for Ward 28, and served as an activist and facilitator for GOOD in the community.
He comes in with extensive experience in business and leadership, as well as a degree in Supply Chain Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration. Now as a 29-year old councillor, Masase is committed to empowering the youth by addressing the issue of poverty and ensuring all young people have access to equal opportunities when it comes to education and skills development.
Masase says he will use his new role to ensure all voices, including those of young people, are heard and their concerns addressed. “It is very important that each elected public representative do the right thing by leading with dignity and with an agenda that ensures the people come first. This much we owe to our people who believed in us when they voted for us. Let us never disappoint our people, I certainly will not”.
GOOD is grateful to both Masase and Saptoe for the work that they have done and look forward to continue serving South Africans with the support of these quality leaders.
