GOOD Saldanha Bay Municipality Councillor & Mayoral Committee Member for Infrastructure and Planning Services

As the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Infrastructure and Planning Services for the Saldanha Bay Municipality, I am honoured to announce the continued progress and success of the Louwville Housing Project. Following the successful handover of 38 completed housing units to new homeowners in Ward 13 during July 2026, as well as the Phase 2 formal handover of houses at the Louwville Housing project site on 14 August 2026 which comprises of 48 completed house units.
This handover is a profound realisation of the GOOD Party’s core vision and mission to advance social and spatial justice for working-class families. By delivering dignified shelter, we are actively dismantling spatial inequalities and building inclusive communities where citizens are empowered. The Louwville housing development reflects GOOD’s commitment to ensuring that our people have a secure and dignified place to call home.
The successful execution of this project is of paramount importance to both me and the party. We have worked diligently to oversee this development and overcome previous delays. As MMC for Infrastructure and Planning Services, seeing our capital projects directly translate into tangible improvements in the lives of our residents is incredibly fulfilling.
For the GOOD Party, this handover is a testament to our commitment to accountable governance and our mandate to prioritise community upliftment. Providing a secure home is the first step toward economic empowerment, and we will continue our rigorous oversight across all infrastructure departments to ensure municipal developments effectively serve the people of Saldanha Bay.
