The GOOD leadership is pleased to announced that Katriena Robyn has been nominated to take over our vacant seat in the Witzenberg Municipality.
“Trienie” as she is known to her community, will fill the vacancy that arose in Council, after former GOOD Councillor Felicity Klazen was expelled from the Party following an internal disciplinary process.
The Party has notified the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of the nomination which is expected to be processed ahead of the next Council meeting next week when she will be sworn-in.
Not only has Robyn previously served as the Witzenberg Deputy Mayor, but she has also played a key role since 2019 to grow GOOD in the Municipality.
Over the years, she has been an internal part of our National and Provincial Election teams, and has shown nothing but commitment and integrity in her work for the Party and her broader community.
“I am excited to step into this big role and take on all the challenges and responsibilities that it comes with. My heart has always been rooted in the Witzenberg community and I believe I can bring about the necessary changes, by implementing the GOOD plan and securing the necessary support to grow our movement,” said Robyn.
Robyn is a valuable addition to the Witzenberg Council as well as the GOOD team in the region working towards the 2024 elections. We believe there is extensive room for the GOOD support to grow in Witzenberg, and GOOD is excited to have such a passionate member at the forefront of these efforts.
GOOD remains steadfast in our goal to provide leadership that can build a better and more equal society for all South Africans, including the residents of Witzenberg.
