The GOOD Party in Nelson Mandela Bay remains committed to playing its part in turning around the Metro, in particular when it comes to the safety and security of residents.
Following ongoing political instability and failed service delivery, GOOD has joined the majority of parties forming a new multi-party coalition government under the mayorship of the DA’s Retief Odendaal.
GOOD will provide continuity in the Safety and Security portfolio, with myself remaining as MMC (Mayco Member), where we will work constructively as part of a bigger team and ensure we improve the City’s safety and security services without overreach.
Since the election we have been working tirelessly to ensure that the people of the City are well served by a multi-party coalition government, and we will continue to do this with our new partners, despite any differences we might have.
We are committed to making this a success and working as part of this coalition government based on mature, dedicated and effective leadership.
The people of Nelson Mandela Bay deserve the necessary stability to address the multitude of critical issues facing the City.
As GOOD, we believe the new multi-party coalition will provide this stability.
