GOOD Theewaterskloof Deputy Mayor & Ward 10 Candidate

I am very proud of the team of GOOD activists and canvassers whose tireless work over the past few weeks delivered a stunning result in Wednesday’s by-election in Theewaterskloof Ward 10.
While we fell short by 40-odd votes of taking the ward outright, we more than tripled our share of the vote, and painted a picture of what the Western Cape could look like after this year’s general election.
Votes for the DA plummeted to 28%, with GOOD jumping to 26%.
What the numbers tell us is that people don’t feel that the old political parties have had their interests at heart, and that the Western Cape is heading for a coalition government.
I extend heartfelt gratitude to all the voters of Ward 10 for coming out and demonstrating the value of their votes.
I commit to continue to work tirelessly for the people of Ward10, and all the other residents of Theewaterskloof, as Deputy Mayor.
We can stop the suffering by using our votes.
