GOOD welcomes the announcement of Local Government Elections in October.
The local government elections cannot come soon enough.
South Africa is running out of time to build an inclusive, just and sustainable society. If we are to fix South Africa a good place to start is in our towns and cities.
Factionalism, corruption, incompetence and leaders who lie about their qualifications have dragged service delivery down. South Africans deserve decent and affordable services that support dignified living.
GOOD has been steadily building its structures, working with leaders of integrity drawn from the communities which they serve. This is to ensure that we contribute constructively to re-building local government and reconnecting local governments with the communities they serve.
